The Pixel People

Your Privacy, Compliance & Pixel Data Partner

Tracking today starts with privacy. Trackstars makes sure every pixel on your site respects your visitors' choices. We give you visibility and control of every pixel, every cookie, every storage key, and every network request your site makes. Then, we maximize the signal you can lawfully collect.

For the last 5 years we've been working behind the scenes with brands like  Skims, Netflix, Mercedes, Unilever, Heineken, Chobani, American Standard, Glossier, New Era  and a long list of others, solving the same tracking problems you're facing today.

Why Privacy Comes First

Tracking Is Now a Legal Question.

A few years ago, the only concern was whether your pixels fired. Now it's whether they should fire at all. Law firms file wiretap lawsuits backed by screenshots of Meta, TikTok, Google and other tracking pixels running. Increasingly, even regulators test opt-out mechanisms and expect them to just work. The cookie banners most brands use aren't typically wired up correctly, so they don't work. A banner that promises a choice your site doesn't honor puts you in an even worse legal position.

Cookie compliance is hard, and it's always changing, so is your site: a new analytics tool, a new advertising pixel, a new app. Each change needs to respect your visitors' privacy choices. Most don't. In our testing of a random sample of stores, roughly 80% of stores with a cookie banner were still non-compliant. The area is moving fast: new lawsuits and rulings land nearly every day, and you can follow them in our privacy news.

The Most Common Problems We See

01

Pixels that fire before consent

Ad, email and analytics tags load with the page and send data before the banner has even rendered.

How an audit finds them →
02

Opt-outs never reach your pixels

A visitor opts out in the banner, but the signal never reaches your pixels, so tracking carries on despite an explicit opt-out.

How we fix it →
03

Global Privacy Control ignored

Browsers send a legally binding opt-out signal with every request, but most sites continue to track regardless.

What is GPC? →
04

One policy for every region

California is opt-in. Most other states are opt-out. A setup that's compliant in one place is often a violation in the next. Dynamic policies per region fix that.

The Trade-Off

Compliant Doesn't Have to Mean Blind.

Here's the catch most merchants miss: heavy-handed compliance lockdowns tend to strangle marketing performance. Bolt everything shut without understanding what your pixels actually need, and you starve the very channels you depend on for growth.

A good privacy implementation walks a fine line between locking everything down and sharing what's appropriate. Too loose, and you're tracking people who said no. Too tight, and you throw away signal your visitors were happy to give you. Done right, every pixel gets exactly what each visitor agreed to: nothing more, nothing less.

This is our specialty. We come from a marketing-performance background, so we know exactly what each pixel needs to perform at its best, and how to keep that performance under the strictest compliance requirements. When a visitor opts in, every platform gets the richest signal we can send. When they opt out, that choice is honored everywhere.

Good privacy management demands continuous monitoring. The moment your site changes, your compliance can quietly break. That's why we use Stakeout, which checks your live site from inside each jurisdiction every day and flags the moment a tag steps out of line.

Full compliance, full marketing performance. You don't have to pick.

What We Do

Privacy First, Without Losing Your Signal.

Two disciplines, one team. We wire your visitors' privacy choices through your whole stack, then build the tracking that gets the most out of every choice your users make.

Privacy & Compliance

Make every tag on your site do what your visitors chose.

  • Deep knowledge of your privacy obligations
  • Consent audits across every page and region
  • Banner, tag manager and server containers wired together
  • Global Privacy Control and Do Not Sell flows
  • Rules that adapt by state and country
  • Pre-consent data leaks found and fixed
  • Continuous monitoring with Stakeout

Signals & Performance

Send the most signal you lawfully can to every platform that needs it.

  • Server-side tracking: GTM Server Side, Cloudflare Zaraz, or custom
  • Conversion APIs for Meta, Google, TikTok and more
  • Click ID and cookie persistence
  • Identity resolution
  • Google Consent Mode and modeled conversions
  • Validation and data quality monitoring

It's Not About Infrastructure

Server-Side Tracking Isn't a Panacea.

Privacy is too important to manage casually. It takes real rigour, at every layer of your stack. Yet many teams assume server-side tracking fixes both their privacy and their signal quality. It doesn't.

Moving your tags to a server doesn't make them respect anyone's choices. A server can track a visitor who opted out just as easily as a browser pixel can. In fact, it's harder to manage: now you have to control what happens on the server too, where it's far harder to see exactly what's being sent.

Signal quality works the same way. Upgrading your infrastructure without fixing the fundamentals is like replacing your pipes while the water supply stays contaminated. Without careful engineering of identity resolution, cookie persistence and click ID forwarding, you're just pushing the same broken data through new infrastructure. Precision is the fix, not the pipes.

And just because data is flowing doesn't mean it's working. The most expensive tracking failures we've seen didn't throw errors. They built up silently, until a campaign review showed half the conversion data had been missing for months. Every implementation we build includes validation and monitoring, so you're not the last to know when something breaks.

Most server-side tracking vendors lock you into their platform. We don't. We're fully platform-agnostic (GTM Server Side, Cloudflare Zaraz, or bespoke builds), and we enhance what you already have (Elevar, Stape, and more) rather than rip and replace it. You get the architecture that fits your business, not ours.

Why It Matters

The Big Big Benefits of Better Tracking

01

Stay compliant without losing insight

Keep regulators happy and retain complete visibility into customer behavior.

02

Reduce legal risk from third-party scripts

Control every script that runs on your site and maintain an airtight chain of custody for your customers' data.

03

Own your tracking infrastructure

Control your data, your privacy, and your future, with no third-party gatekeepers.

04

Feed ad platforms better data

Ad platforms are built on AI. They need accurate data to send you traffic that converts. Better data means improved optimization and lower cost per acquisition.

05

Prove every conversion

Your advertising produces far more conversions than you can show. Change it. Prove to finance and leadership the full ROI your ad spend is actually generating.

06

Capture richer behavioural signals

Power smarter emails, retargeting, and personalization that drive repeat sales, instead of driving blind.

07

Feed email tools accurate signals

Dramatically improve email marketing performance by seeing every action your contacts take.

08

Make your site faster and lighter

Reduce bounce rates and improve Core Web Vitals while tightening tracking accuracy.

09

Train machine learning models accurately

Give your LTV, churn, and attribution models pure signals to learn from.

10

Add and remove marketing channels with ease

Centralize data flow so you can test or switch vendors without rewriting every tag on your site.

11

Harden your ad channels against fraud

Apply server-side controls and filtering that stop bots and click farms before they hit your campaigns.

12

Connect automations effortlessly

Centralize your data so AI automation, marketing, CRM, and analytics tools connect instantly.

13

Map every step from first touch to closed deal

For B2B, stitch together every touchpoint (ads, webinars, content, trials) into a single continuous journey that connects marketing activity directly to pipeline and closed revenue.

14

Surface account-level intent before the first form

In B2B, multiple stakeholders research you before anyone fills out a form. Identity resolution turns those anonymous visits into account-level signals, so sales knows who's evaluating you, and when.

Well-architected server-side tracking solutions pay for themselves.

About Us

Signals Engineers Who've Seen It All.

We're a team of signals engineers with formal engineering backgrounds and over a decade of hands-on experience building real systems, at scale, for some of the most demanding brands on the internet.

That includes years spent working at Elevar, one of the most influential tracking platforms in e-commerce, contributing to the engineering and innovation work that helped define how high-performance brands approach server-side tracking today.

We've been behind the data stacks of brands across retail, beauty, food & beverage, and B2B SaaS, working through identity resolution, consent architecture, click ID forwarding, cross-platform attribution, and everything in between. We've seen every variation of these problems and built systems engineered to survive whatever comes next.

We care more about outcomes than output. Before we take on a project, we want to understand the situation well enough to know whether we can genuinely move the needle, and if the answer isn't clearly yes, we'll say so.

Agency Partners

The Signals Engineering Desk Your Agency Doesn't Have.

Agencies are juggling a lot. Tracking is rarely the priority until it becomes the problem, and it becomes a problem whenever it's not part of the build process. At the tail end of a project, when everything is live and the client is watching performance numbers, that's when the gaps show up: conversions not firing, ad platforms starved of signal, privacy misconfigured and tracking opt-outs, attribution broken, analytics telling a completely different story than it did before you made your changes. It falls back on the agency, and it's rarely a problem the agency was built to solve.

We've seen it over and over, across agencies of every size. The good news is that when you have the right expertise, these problems are solvable. We come in behind the scenes, close the gaps, and get your client's tracking to a place they've never actually been before. So the beautiful website you just built isn't just a beautiful website. It's a highly tuned data machine, built to grow.

For a flat monthly retainer, your team gets a direct ticket queue into ours: implementation support, architecture decisions, privacy and compliance audits, and hands-on help across your entire client base. When a client forwards you the latest tracking lawsuit and asks whether they're exposed, you'll have an answer. Submit a ticket, we take it from there. You stay front-facing. We stay in the engine room.

The agencies we work with consistently go to market with a capability their competitors simply don't have. Their clients get cleaner data, elite expertise on privacy and tracking, and measurement systems that actually hold up. And the agency gets the credit.
